A distressed single mum from Edinburgh was moved out of her home by the council only to come home months later to find her property was still uninhabitable. Despite three of her children having additional needs, Jane McNeill was forced to move to Falkirk on January 16 after her property was deemed uninhabitable due to mould and disrepair, reports Edinburgh Live.

A loving mum is raising money for a mental health organisation in a touching tribute to a young male from West Lothian. Hazel Surgeon, 43, is fundraising for Jamie’s Sanctuary - an organisation set up after Jamie Aitchison took his own life in 2022 at just 20-years-old. It was launched by Jamie's mum Debbieanne Marriott and his best friend, Cammy Moore, to help support people with mental health and addiction issues, reports The Daily Record.

Police are investigating after a young girl was pushed off her bike by youths in East Lothian. The incident took place on Tuesday, April 15, around 5.20pm in High Street, Musselburgh. It's not clear how many youths were involved. Officers quickly raced to the scene, but the girl did not require any medical treatment. Before police arrived, the group of youths had fled from the area. Inquiries remain going.

Cops have issued more than 30 'threat to life warnings' over the last two years as gang wars spiral and spark fears of a risk to the public. Latest figures show there has been a huge increase in the number of individuals considered to be in danger, reports The Record. In 2023, just five people were issued with the notices - also known as Osman warnings - but numbers soared to 26 in 2024.
