(May 1, 2024) – On Wednesday, the Louisiana House passed a bill that would legalize limited raw milk sales in the state, taking an important step toward nullifying a federal prohibition scheme in practice and effect. Rep. Kimberly Coates introduced House Bill 467 (HB467) on Feb. 29. The legislation would allow farmers to sell unpasteurized cow and goat milk directly to consumers. However, the law would limit raw milk sales to an average of 500 gallons per month.

    BOISE, Idaho (Feb. 20, 2024) – A bill filed in the Idaho House would expressly exclude a central bank digital currency (CBDC) from the definition of money in the Idaho Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), and prohibit state agencies from accepting CBDC as a form of payment. The House State Affairs Committee introduced House Bill 585 (H585) on Feb. 16. Under the Idaho Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), “money” means “a medium of exchange currently authorized or adopted by a domestic or foreign government.
