In my life, I’ve followed a few big rivalries: Yugi Muto vs. Seto Kaiba. The University of Texas vs. Texas A&M. Kyle Busch vs. Brad Keselowski. Me vs. the ability to ride a bicycle. But I recently decided to start a rivalry I’ve never seen before: a hulking, $100,000 GMC Hummer EV versus my tiny, nimble 2004 Mazdaspeed MX-5 Miata. For their first contest a few weeks ago, my husband and I drove the Miata and Hummer EV to a nearby parking lot to determine: Which one has the tighter turning radius?

I’ve never been a Miami person. Every time I go, I end up in an area that’s loud, expensive, and subject to membership fees. The bars, which are sometimes right below or above your hotel room, bump until the early-morning hours. Supercar exhausts and police sirens wail down the streets, day and night. The social clubs are so strict that when I hosted an event at one last year, I went to the on-site restaurant for lunch and had to beg them to let me buy food because I wasn’t a member.

The 2026 Genesis GV70 is a collection of attitudes and aesthetics. It's sporty by modern luxury-SUV standards, yet elegant. It's new enough to still feel special, yet reminiscent of a more experienced automaker. The Genesis logo—a diamond-quilted crest with wings—isn't just a badge, it's a fundamental part of the vehicle's design. Every Genesis model has a certain array of ingredients that all blend perfectly to create the final product.

This weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, YouTube star Cleetus McFarland will make his second-ever start in NASCAR’s fourth-tier division: the ARCA Racing Series. His first came at fellow drafting track Daytona International Speedway earlier this year, where his in-car live stream on YouTube has nearly 800,000 views — almost as many as the TV broadcast itself. That weekend in Daytona, the NASCAR world learned in real time how much pull McFarland has. It was fascinating to watch.

This blog started with a simple question from The Autopian’s publisher, Matt Hardigree: “Did you see this, Alanis? They turned you into a robot.” I’d normally skip robot news, because I’ve seen the Terminator franchise and know how this ends. But for whatever reason — ego, sick fascination, or something deeper I haven’t discovered yet — I had to know more. Meet Mornine, the robot who looks like me if I had a stiff bodysuit, uncanny walking gate, and Pit Viper sunglasses.

My favorite joke is saying “Well, guess it’s time to check it” every time a check-engine light comes on in my car

My husband bought a new camera lens and Portia does NOT like the size of it https://t.co/MrDQw5b7eM
