MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A family is trying to find out what led to the murder of 27-year-old mother, Azia Lock, after Mullins police believe an altercation between her and 23-year-old James Scott led to her death. Mullins Police Chief Phil Mostowski said 23-year-old James Scott is accused of killing the 27-year-old mother last week. Scott is facing one count of murder. Officers responded to a home on March 23, where they say Lock was found unconscious and unresponsive.

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF/Gray News) – A jury ruled the man charged with killing Brittanee Drexel must pay her mother for damages caused in the case. Jurors unanimously ruled Tuesday that Drexel’s mother, Dawn Conley, is entitled to $500 million in punitive damages and $200 million in actual damages from Raymond Moody, her daughter’s killer. Conley sued Moody for intentional infliction of emotional distress and/or outrage.
