The event will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in ball field three at the Colonel Thomas “Buddy” Styers Athletic Complex, making room for even more activities. At a City of Myrtle Beach Human Rights Commission meeting on Thursday, a handful of Myrtle Beach agencies presented the city’s Memorial Day Weekend Safety Plan. Memorial Day is typically one of the busiest weekends here along the Grand Strand. Not only is it considered the unofficial start to the summer season, but several events like Bike Fest kick off.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office found Annie Lock’s body in the area of N.C. 72 West and Buie Philadelphus Road on Sunday afternoon. Lock, of Fayetteville, was last seen Aug. 17, 2024, and was reported missing in October.
