Patrick Peterson's storied NFL career has come to an end as he announced his retirement in a Monday event with the Arizona Cardinals. Peterson's announcement closes out a 13-year career that saw him earn All-Pro honors on three occasions and eight Pro Bowl selections. Dane Brugler, The Athletic's draft expert, published his hilariously impressive draft guide Wednesday. "The Beast" contains information on hundreds of prospects. There is almost no stone left unturned. How best to use the new information? How about another mock draft? Twenty minutes into his early morning media session last week at the NFL league meeting in Palm Beach, Fla., Kevin O'Connell smirked. The Minnesota Vikings head coach had been talking about his team's plan at left guard. He left the door open for a potential newcomer via the NFL Draft, but that wasn't what spurred the wry smile. Instead, it surfaced during an acknowledgement of what Minnesota is working with in late April: four draft picks, only one of which is in the first two rounds.

The NFL Draft is the ultimate "Choose Your Own Adventure" story. The choices you make and the route you take affect the world you eventually live in. For example, if the Minnesota Vikings target an interior offensive lineman in the first round - which seems fairly likely - the rest of the draft could go a certain way. The same goes for a potential trade down. It's fun to explore the scenarios at the top, but how about later on? Who could be in play on Days 2 and 3?

PALM BEACH, Fla. - After this week, only one major offseason event remains: the 2025 NFL Draft. The Minnesota Vikings attended the NFL Scouting Combine and had a great deal of success in the free-agent period. On Sunday, the team's key decision-makers traveled south to the Breakers Hotel for the NFL's annual league meetings, which will wrap up Tuesday. Most, if not all, of the outstanding questions have been answered. Coach Kevin O'Connell and co-owner Mark Wilf met with reporters Monday.

Read on backup QB situation: — Comp formula is major part of calculus — Ryan Tannehill, repped by same agent as J.J. McCarthy (Brian Ayrault), is option — Day 3 pick trade is an option — I believe Kirk would come back, but ATL would have to be willing to move at feasible price

@alec_lewis They’re gonna get Kirk back, aren’t they? 😅

Reunion: Veteran QB Drew Lock agreed to terms with the #Seahawks, per source. One of the pieces of the Russell Wilson trade, Lock is now back for a second stint in Seattle, this time backing up Sam Darnold. https://t.co/4w5zOj8Zl1
