AbstractThe Structural Genomics Consortium is an international open science research organization with a focus on accelerating early-stage drug discovery, namely hit discovery and optimization. We, as many others, believe that artificial intelligence (AI) is poised to be a main accelerator in the field. The question is then how to best benefit from recent advances in AI and how to generate, format and disseminate data to enable future breakthroughs in AI-guided drug discovery.

The Liverpool & District Cricket Competition are striving for more inclusivity in their leagues but have got it wrong on this occasion. In an attempt to make women and girls more comfortable playing cricket, the Comp have announced that they will permit female players to wear ‘darker trousers’. The Comp is one of many leagues in which prior to this season, all players obligated to wear all white kit.

The FA have confirmed the launch of an investigation into Nottingham Forest after the club posted on X following their match with Everton. The club have announced “NFFC will now consider its options” following VAR controversy. The game at Goodison Park was a pivotal match in the relegation battle and ended 2-0 to the hosts. The result took Everton five points clear of the drop and left Forest only one point above the relegation zone with four games to play.

Lancashire were on track to beat Hampshire down on the South coast before rain spoiled play once again. Keaton Jennings’ mammoth opening score of 172 landed his side 117 runs up after the first innings, but the Lancashire Captain did not make it out to bat in a second innings due to rain. Early rainfall put an end to any hopes of the Lancashire attack firing through Hampshire on day four, with no play possible in the morning session.

The Liverpool & District Cricket Competition season has been delayed because of the recent poor weather conditions. Many clubs have been unable to begin preparations due to constant rain leaving the outfield too soft and wet to begin working on. Originally, the Comp was due to begin on Saturday, April 20. However, the season will now start one week late on Saturday, April 27, but only if clubs can get their grounds ready in time.

Former Everton star Ross Barkley is being tipped for an unexpected return to Gareth Southgate’s England squad. Southgate is set to announce the squad at 2pm tomorrow (March 14) and Barkley will be hoping for his inclusion in the selection. The 30-year-old made an unexpected move to newly-promoted Luton Town at the beginning of the season following a brief spell for OGC Nice in France. Barkley made his first Premier League appearance for boyhood club Everton at age 18 in 2011.

Everton Women took the lead twice against Bristol City but were unable to hold on for victory in their 2-2 Women’s Super League clash. This draw prevented Everton from both moving up to 9th in the league and claiming their first home victory of the season. Bristol City stay bottom of the table in 12th but move to four points alongside West Ham United. The Blues dominated the early stages of the game.
