    Employment Tribunal statistics show that menopause-related claims have more than tripled over the past two years. There were 204 tribunal cases referencing menopause in 2024, compared with 64 in 2022. The figures suggest both increased awareness and a growing willingness among employees to pursue legal action in this area. Data from January to March 2025 reveals increases across several claim types.

    Yvonne Ford, from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, has died after contracting rabies following a “scratch” by a stray puppy during a visit to Morocco in February. Rabies is a viral disease that is nearly always fatal once symptoms appear, which may happen months after exposure. It is passed on through bites, scratches, or contact with the saliva of infected animals. Prompt post-exposure treatment is highly effective in preventing the disease if administered shortly after the incident.

    British employees are increasingly optimistic about artificial intelligence (AI) in the workplace, with 63 percent feeling energised about its potential – but their employers are not keeping up with the hype, according to new research. The study, by collaboration platform Miro, also found that 82 percent of employees believe the technology can positively impact their daily tasks and responsibilities.
