Since their illegal invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Russia's national teams and domestic clubs have been suspended by FIFA and UEFA, which respectively govern world and European soccer.

Cristiano Ronaldo's eldest son Cristiano dos Santos has been called up to the Portugal Under-15 squad for the first time. The 14-year-old is part of the youth setup of Al Nassr, the Saudi Pro League side where his father plays. Portugal's Under-15 side will play against Japan, Greece, England and one other opponent in the Vlatko Markovic International Tournament, in Croatia, between May 13 and 18.

A group of Arsenal supporters have protested against the club's 'Visit Rwanda' sponsorship and called for the deal to be ended before next season. Gunners For Peace has launched a video mocking the sponsorship, entitled 'Visit Tottenham', the club's local north London rivals. The campaign group will hand out armbands before the men's match against Crystal Palace on Wednesday, with the idea being that supporters will cover the 'Visit Rwanda' label on the sleeves of the club's shirt.

The club's drop from the Premier League back to Championship was confirmed on Sunday after a 1-0 defeat at home to Liverpool. It was their ninth home match in a row without a goal, an English record.

The wording around its profitability and sustainability rules (PSR) has been amended and appears to directly relate to the arbitration case centring around Leicester's losses during the three-year accounting period ending in 2022-23 and whether it fell under EFL or Premier League jurisdiction.
