A woman has been stabbed in the head in a suspected home invasion in the Northern Territory. Emergency services were called to a home in Alice Springs about 4.15pm on Wednesday following reports of an aggravated burglary. The woman was alone when three offenders broke a window and entered the home. They were allegedly armed, with the woman suffering stab wounds to her hands, arms and head. She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Lifeguards in Far North Queensland have shocked social media by revealing just how small an Irukandji jellyfish really is. Two people have died and a third has been rushed to hospital after being pulled from the water at a West Australian beach. Emergency services were called to Conspicuous Beach near Walpole, in WA’s South-West, about 2.40pm on Saturday. When they arrived, three adults who were in distress in the water had been brought to shore unconscious. A young woman is dead and four other people have been rushed to hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Queensland overnight. The crash took place in Kearney Spring, Toowoomba about 11.30pm on Sunday. A silver Mazda was travelling along Spring St when it left the road and crashed into a pole, killing a 22-year-old female passenger. Three other passengers, a 17-year-old girl, 20-year-old woman and 20-year-old man, were taken to hospital.
