Bethany Turner has been baking since she her childrood, when her family moved to Cedarburg from Georgia. She later founded Bethmayhem LLC to continue sharing her treats with others. "I could spend my allowance, like 20 bucks, and go to like MJ's, which is the candy shop, and then I'd walk over to the Rivoli and see a movie," Turner said.

Ten-year-old Noelle Crew and her sister Felicity are two of more than 100 participants in the contest, which has been held every Summer for more than two decades. "Sometimes it can take days.     MEQUON, Wis. — Residents in Ozaukee County are navigating detours as a major road resurfacing project gets underway on Mequon Road, impacting local travel and access to businesses. The construction started last week. It's causing the closure of nearly four miles of Mequon Road to non-local traffic between Wasaukee and Buntrock. While neighborhood residents can still get through, they're asked to use alternate routes for the next several months.
