Disgruntled South West Water (SWW) customers have been speaking out after the utility company announced average customer bills for this year would go up by 28%. The increase followed the news the £50 government contribution towards SWW customers' bills had also been removed. Christine from Plymouth said she felt "very angry" her bill had increased because she did not have a water meter, despite being told she was not eligible for one.

A new route from Exeter airport is scheduled to launch next year. The airport has announced daily flights to and from Amsterdam, starting in March 2025. The route will be served by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines - the first time the airline has flown from Exeter. The airport said it was the first time in five years Exeter has served Amsterdam with bosses saying passengers will be able to travel to the international aviation hub of Schiphol airport in about 90 minutes.

A primary school in Guernsey will reopen on Tuesday after it was closed due to damage caused by Storm Darragh. La Houguette Primary School sustained damage over the weekend, resulting in leaks in several rooms and debris scattered across the roof and site, the States of Guernsey said. In an update, the States confirmed the school would reopen on Tuesday, with repairs taking place in some affected areas.
