    Oscar held on to tropical storm strength overnight, despite the blow dealt by Cuba’s mountains, as it rolled over the Southeastern Bahamas on Tuesday. The storm is expected to drop about 3 to 5 inches of rain on the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos as it crosses the islands. As of the 8 a.m. update, the National Hurricane Center said the storm maintained 40 mph sustained winds and was moving northeast at 12 mph, a much faster clip than the night before.
