Multiple Agencies, including the Lee County Sheriffs Office, FWC and others are searching for a missing person last seen on a Jet Ski at Lazy Springs Recreation Park in Hendry County. FWC confirms they are on scene, and LCSO says they are assisting in the search. Gulf Coast News has a reporter headed to the scene to find out more, and will update as more information becomes available.

With federal funding cuts to several organizations, many programs that rely on federal funding have had to scale back. In just the past week, ripple effects from the lack of funding have been felt across the country and even on the Gulf Coast. One of those programs was the National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Program, which funds early childhood education at the Redlands Christian Migrant Association Offices in Immokalee.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for the eastern part of Glades County, near Buckhead Ridge. The system is moving northwest at 25 miles per hour. Its capable of producing golf Ball sized hail and winds of up to 60 miles per hour. The current advisory is expected to last until 7pm.

Collier County Deputies responded to shots fired at a home at 5481 Hardee Street Sunday evening in Naples Manor. Deputies discovered two people shot at the address. One person is dead and another is being treated for injuries. The Sheriffs Office says this is an active Death investigation.
