It's an electorate of strange bedfellows, and hot button issues like the phasing out of live export and Save the Perth Hills are polarising voters on the rural and urban fringe. The three-way contest between Labor, Liberal and The Nationals is a fight between the urban and rural agenda.

• With coal power stations closing and large-scale renewable energy projects appearing, one company is hoping the transition also translates to the workforce. The Star of the South offshore wind farm in Gippsland will need 800 workers and its offering coal workers training.
