The new dessert marks the 30th anniversary of the McFlurry, which was first invented in Canada. The McFlurry was first created by a Canadian McDonald's franchisee in Bathurst, New Brunswick, in 1995.

As Joann Fabrics shutters its remaining locations, department store chain Burlington is set to take over leases to 45 Joann store locations, including three in Georgia. The soon-to-be-defunct fabric and craft retailer already closed hundreds of stores in April, with more than 500 stores set to close by the end of May.
