    The family of late Jazz owner Larry Miller is returning to top-flight professional sports ownership in their hometown of Salt Lake City through the purchase of a controlling interest in MLS’ Real Salt Lake and the NWSL’s Utah Royals. Sources with knowledge of the deal terms said the transaction values the entire enterprise, which in addition to the teams includes America First Field and Zions Bank Training Center, at $600M.

    The Northern Super League begins its inaugural season tonight as Canada’s first professional women’s soccer league when Vancouver Rise FC hosts Calgary Wild FC at BC Place at 10pm ET. The match will be distributed on TSN and CBC Gem in Canada and on ESPN+ in the U.S. NSL President Christina Litz said more than 10,000 tickets had been sold for tonight’s game as of Tuesday and that attendance for AFC Toronto’s opener against Montreal Roses FC on Saturday is also expected to exceed 10,000.
