Gladwell's Oct. 24 visit was the first Authors@Wharton event of the academic year. He showcased his latest book "Revenge of the Tipping Point: Overstories, Superspreaders, and the Rise of Social Engineering" in a discussion moderated by Wharton professor Adam Grant at the Penn Museum. The first 500 attendees received a free copy of Gladwell's book.

Penn has changed its financial aid application for the fall 2024 admissions cycle to make the process easier for applicants. The five changes, which Penn Admissions announced in a blog post on Monday, minimize the number of forms students have to submit. The new policies go into effect immediately, aiming to make the application process "digestible and easy to follow," according to the announcement.

The Penn Fund ended the 2024 fiscal year with a record-breaking donation total, despite initial fundraising lags earlier this year. The Penn Fund, the University's annual giving campaign, raised more than $55 million during fiscal year 2024, exceeding fundraising goals by close to $10 million, according to their Annual Impact Report. Donations through the fund go exclusively to undergraduate students through student programs, financial aid, and organization support.
