Trump issues ban on Harvard from admitting foreign students

President Donald Trump issued an executive order banning international students from enrolling at Harvard University on Wednesday. "Admission into the United States to attend, conduct research, or teach at our Nation’s institutions of higher education is a privilege granted by our Government, not a guarantee," the executive order said. "That privilege is necessarily tied to the host institution’s compliance and commitment to following Federal law.

A Worcester City Councilor caught in the chaos of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrest on Eureka Street last month is now facing charges. Etel Haxhiaj was seen on Worcester Police Department body camera footage as officers tried to control a crowd around the ICE arrest. She is now being charged with assault and battery on a police officer and interfering with a police officer. Haxhiaj represents District 5 on the Worcester City Council and is due in court next month.

The Massachusetts State Police are investigating a single-car crash which occurred on an outbound roadway at Boston Logan International Airport on Friday.State police said the car struck a manhole in the roadway, propelling it momentarily off the ground, where it spun and came to rest facing the reverse direction.

Fenway Concerts announced on Thursday that due to unforeseen circumstances, concerts scheduled for Thursday and Friday nights are canceled.Sky 5 video over Fenway Park on Thursday afternoon shows the stadium set up with a stage and seats.Shakira was supposed to perform Thursday night, and Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn were supposed to perform on Friday.NewsCenter 5 is working to figure out what the unforeseen circumstances are.
Bourne Bridge reduced to one lane of traffic until Wednesday night

Traffic on the Bourne Bridge was reduced to one lane in each direction as construction crews made repairs on Wednesday, resulting in heavy delays. All remaining lanes of the bridge will reopen at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Video from the Bourne rotary showed heavy stop-and-go traffic around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday as drivers attempted to leave Cape Cod. The Bourne Bridge carries Massachusetts Route 28 across the Cape Cod Canal, connecting Cape Cod with the rest of Massachusetts.
Business damaged after SUV crashes into building on South Shore

A two-story building housing several businesses in Duxbury, Massachusetts, was damaged after an SUV crashed into it on Wednesday, Duxbury police said. Firefighters in Duxbury said they responded to multiple calls reporting that an SUV crashed into a building Wednesday afternoon. When they arrived at the scene, firefighters found the gray SUV in the side of the building, with heavy damage to the exterior wall and window of the building.
