Soto said the most common calls he expects to get during this week’s hot temperatures are about AC Units not cooling, and condensation or drainage blocking up. He said he expects the volume of calls to go up significantly but said there are things you can do to avoid a visit from a technician.

    Harrisburg, PA — The city of Harrisburg declared North 6th street a public safety hazard on April 30th. Since then, CBS 21 has been back to the street multiple times to check in on how the new stop signs and blinking lights are helping with the speed. “Of course, the first couple of days it was terrible they were running right through them not even slowing down but then they got very much used to it and it’s been a huge success,” said Harrisburg Communications Director Mischelle Moyer.

    YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A teenager in York County was put in a scary situation after she said her car was intentionally hit by a driver that fled the scene. In an interview with CBS 21, Makenzie Beruca said she was driving from Manchester to York Haven around 10:00p.m. Wednesday night. Beruca said when she drove onto the bridge connecting the two areas, a black truck revved its engine before hitting her car.

CBS 21 sat down with Andrew Gordon to talk about his cancer journey and the latest recovery treatment that he said sent his cancer into remission. Gordon has been going through treatment on and off since 2013, but he said he rarely stopped riding his bike. He was diagnosed with multiple Myeloma Cancer in 2013.

CBS 21 spoke with Alyssa Noon, who said her mother, Dawn, is at risk of being placed on the street after healthcare workers did not know where to discharge her. Noon said she has been caring for her mother, who has lymphoma in the stomach, diabetes, and complications from a stroke, since she was 16.
