Incredible footage has been captured from the cockpit of a Lockheed WP-3D Orion as it flew inside one of the most powerful hurricanes ever recorded in the Atlantic.  The Orion, known as Miss Piggy, is a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) aircraft which plays a key role in collecting data for tropical cyclone research and forecasting.

A major Russian attack involving more than 100 drones against 15 Ukrainian regions has triggered pleas from Kyiv that more Western support is needed to defend the nation from air strikes. Reportedly, multiple areas were targeted overnight by Russian forces, resulting in damage to commercial and residential buildings, and eight people being injured. Despite shooting down 78 out of 105 Russian drones and jamming 23 others, President Zelensky insists that help is still needed to protect Ukraine.

A Russian fighter carried out an unsafe manoeuvre directed towards a US aircraft during an "unprofessional" encounter over Alaska, the US has said. Footage captured from the cockpit of an F-16 aircraft shows a Russian Su-35 Flanker flying at an uncomfortably close distance during an interception mission. North American Aerospace Defence Command (Norad) described the actions of the Su-35 pilot as unprofessional and dangerous.

Nato fighter jets have been forced to scramble in response to a Russian drone attack on a Ukrainian city over the Romanian border. Four Spanish and Romanian aircraft were deployed due to a series of drone attacks in Ukraine, near the river border with Romania, in Tulcea County, the Romanian Ministry of National Defence said. During this latest incident, Romania's radar surveillance system did not detect any intrusion by Russian drones into its national airspace.
