    Doctors in Melbourne are trying to save the vision of an Australian student who was injured during an alleged military raid in the West Bank. Ranem Abu Izneid was in her dormitory at Al-Quds University in Abu Dis, a Palestinian town in the West Bank, when her room was hit by alleged Israeli gunfire and she was struck by shrapnel on November 15. Her mother said the 20-year-old dentistry student suffered multiple injuries. "The worst one was to her eye, the most severe one," Rana Abu Izneid said.
