    A 22-year-old taxi driver was arrested May 5 after attempting to kidnap and assault a passenger, Spring Valley police said. Spring Valley Police Det. Matthew Galli said Kevin Mazariego-Figueroa, 22, picked up a female passenger near the Evergreen Supermarket in the early morning hours of Monday, May 5. Galli said the victim told police that while she was in the taxi, Mazariego-Figueroa began driving erratically and would not let her out of the vehicle.
