An arsonist recruited by the Wagner Group who orchestrated the attack on a warehouse holding aid for Ukraine had also planned to blow up two Mayfair restaurants and kidnap their owner, the Old Bailey has heard. Dylan Earl, 20, and Jake Reeves, 23, organised the attack on a unit in the Cromwell Industrial Estate in Leyton, east London, in March last year.

A British businessman accused of spying for China told an FBI informant not to leave a fortune cookie as a calling card at the scene of a planned assault on a Chinese-American dissident, according to court documents. John Miller, 63, was arrested in April while on a business trip in Belgrade, Serbia, on the orders of the FBI after a sting operation in which he was allegedly caught spying for China and trying to buy military hardware in the US for the People’s Liberation Army.

John Miller, 63, was arrested during a trip to Serbia on the orders of the FBI after a sting operation and is now awaiting extradition to the US. Court documents also allege that Miller, a recruitment specialist from Tunbridge Wells, Kent, referred to President Xi of China as “The Boss” in intercepted phone calls.
