The teenage boy, aged 15, was assaulted in the underpass between The Mall and The Venue just after 5.40pm on Monday, May 26. The boy - who remains in hospital in a stable condition - was given first aid by members of the public.

The teenage boy, aged 15, was stabbed in the underpass between The Mall and The Venue just after 5.40pm yesterday, Monday, May 26. The boy was given first aid by members of the public and remains in hospital in a stable condition. His family has been informed, Avon and Somerset Police say. A 16-year-old boy was arrested nearby soon afterwards on suspicion of possessing a bladed article and attempted murder and remains in police custody.

Simon Clark, aged 45, was involved in a horrific collision on the A429 in October 2019 that claimed the life of his partner, Lindy. Mr Clark, a former estate agent, was left with a broken spine and neck, with only muscle and skin connecting his head to his body.

16 1/1 DAREDEVILS have once again thrown themselves down a steep hill in the annual death-defying cheese rolling race in Gloucestershire. Brave competitors sprinted, tripped and tumbled down Cooper’s Hill in Brockworth to try and win the 8lb double Gloucester. The recent dry weather had made the racetrack harder and slower but more dangerous for the competitors who were cheered on by thousands of spectators.
