    INTRODUCTION The use of critical endpoints or thresholds as thermal tolerance metrics has gained considerable momentum over the last two decades. For example, Deutsch et al. (2008) showed that tropical animals lived at temperatures closer to their physiological limits and were, therefore, more vulnerable to global warming. These authors originally used intrinsic rates of increase to estimate the temperature at which fitness dropped to zero and populations were no longer sustainable.

    LAST Friday’s breakfast hosted by Women’s Health Loddon Mallee to celebrate International Women’s Day drew a bright crowd of local leaders and community members. Attendees swapped stories and ideas to reflect the UN’s IWD theme, “Count Her In: Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress”, which was aimed at acknowledging and supporting the contribution of women to economies.

    ELECTRIC wonderland has been extended due to popular demand. The immersive experience will continue at Rosalind Park until Sunday 16 July. Visitors from far and wide have been flocking to see the winter special which makes use of the latest sound and lighting technologies. Manager of tourism and events for the City of Greater Bendigo Terry Karamaloudis was pleased the attraction had been a success.
