STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAW) - After lots of public feedback, the master plan for Goerke Park in Stevens Point is getting revised. The Parks and Recreation Committee met on Wednesday night to go over the public’s opinion on the first draft. Moving forward, there won’t be a dome because it wouldn’t be big enough and would be an eyesore to neighbors. What is staying in the plan right now are the Rec Center and Parker Buildings, hockey and skating rinks, a bus lane, and a new pool.

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - Before the cardinals meet in the Sistine Chapel for the Conclave, there will be a special mass where they ask the holy spirit to guide their decision. Other Catholic churches are joining in. St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wausau gathered for a Mass of the Holy Spirit on Tuesday evening. Their mass is very similar to the Vatican, saying prayers of enlightenment for the cardinals.

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - The Grand Theater is unveiling the plans for its Second Century Capital Campaign. On Tuesday, the public got to see what designs will be coming. The 98-year-old theater hasn’t seen a remodel since the 80s. The $17 million project will go toward new seating, carpet, paint and infrastructure repair. The Great Hall will be getting upgrades as well to make it a flexible concert space.

PLOVER, Wis. (WSAW) -Portage County Crime Stoppers needs your help solving a theft case at Walmart. On April 14th, the Plover Police Department said a woman went into the Plover Walmart at 9:46 pm and loaded her cart with nearly $200 worth of totes. Surveillance pictures show her walking out the door without paying. She then drove away in a black SUV. While the amount may not seem like much, law enforcement said theft cases impact a business.

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - Hiring is underway for a new snack and ice cream shop in Wausau’s Riverlife District. Sweets and Slice will occupy the space once leased by Briq’s. The shop will sell ice cream, shakes, and pizza. CMA Wausau LLC will operate the store. They also own Sawmill Adventure Park in Rothschild.
