MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WSAW) - Republican Senator Ron Johnson said Wednesday that he doesn’t want to run again in 2028 but hasn’t ruled it out completely. At a Milwaukee Press Club luncheon, Johnson was asked if he’s ruled out another Senate run. He said he didn’t want to, but you can never say never. “So I learned in my second run, when I absolutely meant second and final, you can’t say, you know, never, never. I don’t want to.” said Johnson. Johnson also said, “I don’t covet the position.

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - The Marathon County Health Department is launching a new beach monitoring program this summer. The program is designed to provide up-to-date information about water quality at four popular county parks with designated swimming areas: Big Eau Pleine Park, Dells of Eau Claire Park, Mission Lake Park, and Sunny Vale Park. Through weekly water testing, this program will help families and beachgoers make informed choices about swimming and recreating at local beaches.
