Last weekend, I didn't have Weekend Reads. I hoped to, but I went from a weekend camping with the Girl Scouts right into seven days working all day as an election judge for our county's special election for a new County Executive (Senator Alsobrooks previously had the position). I love being an election judge, and love the team of people I work with for early voting.

Hi folks, I had the chance to review Monday Swimwear and decided to provide the opportunity to a member of the Wardrobe Oxygen community. From the dozens who applied, I chose Amy Poole, who had a unique story, and I felt this Monday Swimwear review for women in midlife would be a celebration in her second half of life. I let Amy pick three pieces of Monday Swimwear from the lookbook the brand provided, in her size. She can keep these three pieces and was also paid a fair rate for online publishing.

In the Wardrobe Oxygen community, a member asked for advice on where to find the best t-shirts for grown women. Desiring a t-shirt of a medium weight that is not cropped, not a tunic, not too fitted but not boxy, she felt like Goldilocks. The community stepped up with such fantastic reviews, I felt it would be a good resource to turn this into a list for others looking for quality women's t-shirts.

My mom loved color, and that love went beyond her closet. There were no white walls in our home, and anything she bought, if it came in a color, that was what we got. Seriously, everything possible was colorful, with her color of choice being a shade of blue. Do you remember when Kleenex came in colors? Bath towels were a mismatched collection of bold blues and bright pastels. My mom often sewn curtains so she could control the color.

As you read this, I will be heading to or at a campground in the mountains without wifi or cell service. It's another Girl Scouts getaway, but instead of a beach house, it's a tent. I'm so glad the forecast is for mild temps and no rain. Cross your fingers for me that it stays that way! I found this work by Frank Bensing that was used for a magazine cover… It's what I'd rather be doing with the scouts this weekend though I know camping will still be fun.
