CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Cincinnati knows baseball because we had the first professional baseball team, the Cincinnati Red Stockings. And on Saturday, a crowd of fans experienced the debut of “1869 Reds Days,” where the 1869 Red Stockings Vintage Baseball team played how it was first played; same rules, same uniforms, and the same love for America’s pastime. One way to keep history alive is to talk about it. But the best way is simply to play it as the Red Stockings played in 1869.

WARSAW, Ky. (WXIX) - Sitting on the banks of the Ohio River between Cincinnati, Lexington and Louisville is the town of Warsaw. The town was first established back in the 1800s and since then, it has mostly remained the same. RABBIT HASH, Ky. (WXIX) - Along the Ohio River in Boone County, Rabbit Hash was settled in 1913. The quiet town was first called Carlton, named after one of its settlers. After years of confusion with the city of Carrollton, Rabbit Hash became the town’s name in 1897. The town earned its unique nickname from the number of rabbits entering town when the river flooded.
