    A few years ago, I worked at a public library in Denver, Colorado, and signed up to help count people experiencing homelessness. This counting is an annual effort called Point in Time (PiT) and is a collaboration across libraries, shelters, and volunteers with clipboards on the streets to track the scope of homelessness in a community and demonstrate funding needs.
