As the spring season continues to chug along, Caliche’s track and field athletes are finding their stride. Sophomore Avery Bell kicked things off in the 100-meter dash with sixth place, which he achieved by crossing the finish line in 11.72 seconds.

BROOMFIELD — As the sun began to set on the field at Mike G. Gabriel Stadium on Monday, it provided the perfect metaphor for the type of season Emma Brusate has been having with Holy Family lacrosse. The Rams have won nine of their 13 games, and each setback has come at the hands of some of the top-ranked, smaller programs in the state. In their 2025 debut, they fell to Class 2A’s No. 3 Yuma before rolling into a five-game victory lap, but faced their biggest test so far when they traveled to Haxtun at the beginning of April.
