Gilbert’s four runs batted in all came on a seventh inning grand slam. Just about everyone had a good night at the plate, including Luke Ritter, who went 4-for-4 with five runs scored.

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-Imagn Images Francisco Lindor told the media before this afternoon’s game that he has a broken right pinky toe and is day-to-day. He told reporters that he hopes to avoid an IL stint and intends to play through it. He appeared to suffer the injury after being hit in the foot by a pitch in last night’s game, but he says he hurt it sliding. He remained in the game despite being in obvious discomfort and he confirmed that he was playing through “a lot” of pain.
