Whether in a novel, a movie, a play, a musical, a song, etc., there are two common themes when it comes to love. The first, and more desirable theme, is finding love and living happily ever after. The second is finding love and losing it, whether it be from a nasty breakup, a death, or even unrequited love. Regardless of how that love is lost, we can all probably agree, it hurts.

If you have never heard of Murphy's Law, it is the general concept that "anything that can go wrong will go wrong". For Dreux, pronounced 'Drew', (Keke Palmer; Nope) and her roommate, Alyssa (SZA; Insecure), they find themselves drowning in Murphy's Law over approximately 12 hours. Between trying to come up with rent money and money for a gangster who wants them dead, the two have a wild and out-of-control day.

You end up with a "one-man army" action/thriller starring Jason Statham (The Meg) called A Working Man. The movie has a simple premise but a complicated storyline that creates a number of questions as it reveals more and more plot points. Almost like a scavenger hunt, the story discloses two more puzzles as it resolves one.
