LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Copper thieves continue to strike in Louisville, leaving many streets and interstates in darkness. That's why city leaders have formed a task force to put a stop to the thefts. The thieves can strike anywhere — including the interstate near Lynn Family Stadium in Butchertown — where copper bandits broke though fencing and stole copper wiring from several light poles, damaging the fixtures and leaving the roadway in darkness at night.

The murder trial for Michael Hurley continued for a fifth day Friday with Jones testifying about the fallout from the wreck in which her family was waiting at 2nd and Market streets before Hurley plowed through them without braking. (WDRB) -- The trial for the man accused of drunkenly crashing into a Kansas family on a downtown Louisville sidewalk in 2022, killing one and injuring two others, continued for the third day on Wednesday. Michael Hurley admitted to doing drugs before hitting a Kansas family with his car at 2nd and Market streets on July 5, 2022. The family he hit had traveled to Louisville for their 17-year-old’s basketball tournament.
