    CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - The county emergency management’s recovery team will hold a volunteer workday for the Delta area following a tornado in early April. According to the Cape Girardeau County Emergency Management Agency, they will be removing debris and helping residents clean up on May 17. You can sign up by clicking here. Governor Mike Kehoe appointed the following 10 people:Matt Davis, of Eldon, is a dedicated educational leader with more than 25 years of experience in the Missouri school system, including 17 years as superintendent of Eldon School District.

    CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - A woman is accused of shooting another woman in the head just before midnight on Sunday, May 11. Cacey Bright, 59, of Cape Girardeau, was charged with felony first-degree domestic assault and felony armed criminal action. She is currently being held at the Cape Girardeau City Jail on a $1 million cash-only bond. According to the Cape Girardeau County prosecuting attorney’s office, the victim is a 21-year-old Cape Girardeau resident.

    MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - A three-vehicle crash led to one of the vehicles catching fire on Highway 60 in McCracken County. According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the intersection of U.S. Highway 60 and Old U.S. Highway 60 around 8:24 p.m. on Friday, May 9. While en route, deputies learned one of the vehicles was blocking the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 60 and was on fire.
