    Thanks to The Dispatch for Anna Lynn Winfrey’s May 2 article highlighting the of false and, frankly, ridiculous political flyer attacking my candidacy for Hilliard City Council by “warning“ Democrats that I’m a secret MAGA agent for President Donald Trump. Because the flyers are obviously meant to disinform voters about me, I want to make clear why I’m running for re-election as a Democrat after being a registered Republican for most of my life.

    Sometimes FOMO is a fortune teller. I had fear of missing out on the Black Alumni Reunion at Ohio University and, based on everything I've seen and heard, I did miss out. More than a week after hundreds of Black Ohio University alumni and their supporters reunited in Athens, a beautifully unique little city in the Appalachian foothills, I am still bummed that I skipped the event because of obligations here in Columbus.

    This is America. Ohio State football players and their coaches can accept an invitation to visit the White House after a national championship win. This is America. Anyone who wants to (for the time being at least) can criticize those same players and coaches for going to the White House. That last point is missed on some of the social media users clutching invisible pearls that Jonathan G.
