The Columbus Dispatch
The Columbus Dispatch is a daily newspaper located in Columbus, Ohio. It launched its first edition on July 1, 1871, and has remained the sole major daily newspaper in the city since The Columbus Citizen-Journal stopped publishing in 1985. On June 3, 2015, it was announced that the ownership of the Dispatch was sold to GateHouse Media, a subsidiary of New Media Investment Group. Following New Media's acquisition of Gannett in 2019, GateHouse Media was renamed Gannett, which is the current name under which the Dispatch operates.

Columbus City Schools has dissolved its equity office and moved employees into another department, the district said. According to CCS Chief of Staff Mike De Fabbo, employees who were part of the district's equity department have been combined with the district's "Whole Child Supports" department, "to align the work" with the board's whole child support guardrail.

One Columbus-area company fell off the latest Fortune 500 list while another took its place. The Columbus fragrance retailer Bath & Body Works dropped off the annual list after landing at No. 484 last year. Meanwhile, the Westerville manufacturing firm Vertiv, which serves the data center industry, inched onto the lineup at No. 471. With the swap, central Ohio continued to place five companies in the ranking, which is based on 2024 revenue.
