The applicants in the tribunal case, E.K. and M.K., claimed damages from WestJet due to a flight delay. E.K. and M.K. flew on a Swoop Airlines flight. WestJet denied liability even though it owned Swoop because it is a separate legal entity. The concept of “piercing the corporate veil” played heavily in the case before it was ultimately dismissed.

The tranquil and masterfully designed ‘Hwang House’ from Arthur Erickson was recently listed for sale in Vancouver. Located at 1299 West 57 Ave. in the Marpole neighbourhood, the home was listed for $6,288,000 earlier this month. According to the BC Assessment, the home is valued at $4,259,000 and was last sold back in 2019 for $5,250,000. When the sale was finalized, the Vancouver home was assessed at $3,888,000. It sold just a bit under the asking price of $5,498,000.

Police have now released images in hopes of identifying the people involved. The persons of interest were standing outside Khalsa Diwan Society Gurdwara on Ross Street when the temple was vandalized on Saturday morning. The following pictures show the two individuals.
