IntroductionThe chemistry of the boron trifluoride (BF3) and the so-called fluoroborane (R1R2BF) and difluoroborane (RBF2) derivatives are of relevance to both industrial and synthetic organic chemistry [1]. Beginning with BF3, which is perhaps the most widely studied of these compounds, a diverse range of reactions involving this molecule have been reported.
