Repairs to the iconic Glover Cary Bridge in downtown Owensboro will happen this summer. The necessary maintenance project will include both sides of the Ohio River. Drunk Driver Crashes Into Railroad Tracks

Tuesday night, Vanderburgh County Deputies were called to the 2700 block of Dixie Flyer Road near Broadway Avenue. Several people could be heard yelling. Once on scene, deputies located a Chevy Malibu with heavy front-end damage, flat tires, and deployed airbags resting on the railroad tracks. The driver, 27-year-old Randall Drury, was found walking near the scene intoxicated. Two teen passengers were also located at the scene. Drury was arrested. No injuries were reported.

Person Flown To Hospital After Being Struck By Car

One person was flown to an area hospital after being struck by a vehicle. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon around 2:30 in Fort Branch. During an investigation, it was determined that a red 2006 Chevy Cobalt had hit a pedestrian while traveling on a scooter. 30-year-old Jon Roeder was driving on a suspended license due to a prior conviction. He was transported to the hospital for a blood draw, then taken to the Gibson County Jail.
