An Evansville couple was sentenced yesterday for their roles in a fentanyl operation that resulted in the death of a 3-year-old girl. Arcinial Watt was sentenced to 20 years, followed by five years of supervised release. He has been ordered to pay over $6,000 in restitution. Jazmynn Brown was sentenced to 15 years, followed by 5 years of supervision. Agents seized over 5,700 fentanyl laced counterfeit pills, a firearm, and more than $25,000 in cash from the home.

A Washington, Indiana man is accused of distribution and possession of child pornography. 42-year-old Chad Cooper was arrested yesterday following the execution of a residential search warrant. Electronic and digital media devices were seized from the home. During forensic examinations, evidence of child pornography files was located. Cooper was arrested without incident and transported to the Daviess County Jail.

An Albion, Illinois, man was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail following a drug bust. 59-year-old James McCollum was pulled over for making an illegal U-turn. He also failed several field sobriety tests. During a search of the vehicle, deputies found nearly $4,000 in cash. McCollum told them it was from selling watches. He also mentioned that there may be a small amount of marijuana in the car. That small amount was nearly 3 pounds. McCollum had several drug convictions in Louisiana and Texas.

A suspect wanted in a fatal robbery is behind bars. 21-year-old Jaylen Drone was found Tuesday night and taken in for questioning. He was allegedly involved in the robbery that led to the death of 22-year-old Mekhi Maxwell early this month. Officers say on the night of the shooting, Maxwell and two other men broke into a home on Sweetser Avenue. A resident of the home, 22-year-old Cameron Thomas, allegedly shot and killed Maxwell. The two other suspects ran away from the scene.
