    PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – It’s not every day you find yourself paw to paw with an exotic cat, but on Saturday, June 21, Bear Creek Feline Center is opening its doors to the public with free admission. All they ask is for everyone to bring in a gently used item of any kind to donate to Goodwill. Goodwill will be on site to collect the items. In return, visitors get a tour of the center and learn about the exotic cats. Some visitors will even receive a voucher to use towards a Goodwill purchase.

    BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – One of Florida’s United States senators visited Bay County on Thursday to introduce a new bill involving illegal immigration. Ashley Moody’s ripple act would reimburse local and state agencies for helping enforce federal immigration policies. It would expand the 2-87 g program, which gives officers local training on immigration policies. It is unclear how agencies would receive the money or exactly what expenses it would cover.

    PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WMBB) – Earlier this month, a shooting outside a Panama City Beach Waffle House left one person dead. The family is trying to make sure that the victim’s final wishes are followed through, and that includes being laid to rest next to his mother. “He was born and raised in California. He didn’t come out to Florida until he was 14. So that’s really where he grew up, and that’s where his mom was from…his mom passed away back when he was 14 from heart issues.

Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport welcomed guests on the first-ever direct flight from LaGuardia Airport. Airport officials and travelers were equally excited about the new route. Panama City Beach had its own Statue of Liberty on Saturday in honor of the first arriving passengers.
