FLORIDA (WMBB) – A single parent supercell storm produced two long-track tornadoes in the Florida Panhandle into Lower Alabama during the day on Saturday. One EF-1 tornado occurred in Walton County, lifting after crossing I-10 and before reaching Ponce De Leon. Once the supercell entered Holmes County, it produced an even longer and stronger EF-2 tornado, dissipating soon after crossing into Geneva County, Alabama, and causing damage there.

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – An inmate was found unresponsive in his cell at the Walton County Jail early Sunday morning. According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Jessie Raby was being held in confinement for Holmes County after he was arrested and charged with the murder of his mother and brother in 2024. While in confinement, officials said that security checks were performed every 30 minutes.

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – The Bay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle wreck in Callaway that led to a DUI manslaughter arrest on Friday. According to a news release, the initial crash investigation revealed that at approximately 7:30 p.m., a Black Chevy Malibu was traveling eastbound in the 4000 block of Hwy 22. Officials said it was approaching Bob Little Road when it rear-ended a GMC Yukon.

On Saturday, scattered showers and storms will linger through the morning, gradually becoming more isolated by the afternoon. Some areas may see sunshine break through by late afternoon into the early evening. Winds will shift out of the southwest at 10–20 mph, helping to build surf along the beaches, with wave heights expected around 2–4 feet.

HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help locating a vehicle that was recently involved in a burglary in Dogwood Lakes. Authorities said the small burgundy colored two door car may be pulling a trailer with a lawn mower. Three individuals were known to be in the vehicle at the time of the incident. Authorities confirmed there were two white males with visible tattoos, and a slender white female with sandy brown hair.
