Hotel management group Aimbrige EMEA is building its momentum into 2025, having signed no less than nine new properties in the first quarter of the year. The additions mean a further 1,300 rooms have been added to the company’s portfolio, as it looks to build alliances with landlords and major international hotel brand groups. Hotel owner ProArk agreed to pass operations of its six UK hotels to Aimbridge, all carrying Accor‘s Mercure brand.

The Standard hotel brand has confirmed a May 2025 opening for its latest hotel, Standard Brussels. The new hotel in the Belgian capital will be part of the ZIN redevelopment, in the northern quarter of the city. Its design brings together the best of the Standard’s in-house design team, working in harmony with Belgian architecture practices Jaspers-Eyers Architects, and Bernard Dubois Architects.

The agreements were signed as part of Radisson’s partnership with Magic Norway AS, with all of the upcoming properties to be located in the picturesque city of Bergen, Norway. Two of the properties will be Radisson Individuals hotels and the other two will be under the Group’s Prize by Radisson brand. All four properties have strategic locations and are set to open in the coming months.

Developed by Terra and Sympatico Real Estate, the hotel will be located in the heart of Downtown West Palm Beach at 320 Lakeview Avenue. The 27-story condominium hotel will include 110 rooms alongside 146 branded residences. The property is due to open to the public in 2026. Architecture for the project is being handled by Arquitectonica, with interiors from New York-based firm Meyer Davis, in partnership with Ignazio and Maggio Cipriani.

Radisson Hotel Group has signed two new hotels, to be developed at Manchester City and Oxford United football clubs. The latest additions to the pipeline are creating something of a trend for Radisson. It has already agreed to open hotels at a number of other major sports venues, including cricket grounds in the UK and India, and at the home of English rugby, in Twickenham.

Maison Métier and The Barnett, two famed New Orleans properties adjacent to one another and offering convenient access to the renowned French Quarter, have officially joined the World of Hyatt loyalty program and respective brands. Maison Métier, after a rebrand and refresh, is entering The Unbound Collection as part of Hyatt’s luxury group. The 67-key hotel, currently owned by Domain Companies, is housed in a historic 1908 building.

Margaritaville and Karisma Hotels & Resorts, in partnership with Island Shipping, S. de R.L., has broken ground on the highly anticipated resort. The latest outpost of the all-inclusive resort chain is opening in Roatan, an island off Honduras’s northern coast. The family-friendly resort will span 8.8 acres along 200 meters of shoreline and feature 170 guest rooms, including oceanfront suites and honeymoon swim-up accommodations.

Hotel management group Peregrine Hospitality is continuing to expand its business interests, and in February 2025 added five more hotels to its portfolio. Those five properties all belong to asset owner Mission Hill. They include the Hilton Garden Inn in Temple, Texas; and a dual branded property in Waltham, Massachusetts with co-located Residence Inn and Fairfield Inn & Suites offerings.

Firmdale Hotels, the successful UK-US luxury hotel business, has taken investment from a Scandinavian financial partner. Lennart Perlhagen, founder of one of the world’s leading cancer companies, Novocure has taken a 20% stake in the business, paying a rumoured GBP300m for his shares. The move was revealed in recently filed financial statements for the UK registered business run by husband and wife duo, Tim and Kit Kemp.
