State Sen. Joe Griffo and Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon have introduced a bill offering help to Central New York residents with property damage from last year's tornado and this year's snow. It also creates a package that can help the state respond faster and in a more coordinated fashion to future extreme weather events, Griffo said. But there are only two weeks left in the regular legislative session, although the bill could be passed in a special session or during the next session.
