OLEAN — A revision of Neil Simon’s comedy “The Odd Couple” will be presented by the Olean Theatre Workshop Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.Director Al Berstein creates a single, versatile set which morphs from intentional chaos to rigid organization for his carefully chosen cast of eight. The play is set in an apartment in the 1980s where a group of friends enjoy gathering to play Trivial Pursuit.

Our son, Lio, hops in the car at the end of a cold and damp school day. His pockets carry the day’s found treasures: Quartz rocks, cool sticks that double as swords, acorns with their cupule caps carefully removed. The frontier between work and retirement is changing. The stereotypical definition of retirement as an abrupt and complete withdrawal from paid labor is no longer adequate to define the career paths of many employees returning to the workforce after their retirement (Henkens & van Solinge, 2021). Employment engagement of older adults (50+) who define themselves as retirees is called bridge employment (Wang et al., 2008).
