I’m 18 years old, and from the age of 6, I’ve been very online – watching Minecraft YouTube videos for hours, scouring Reddit pages and chatting about politics on social media with people across the country. You name it; I’ve done it. Despite this illustrious digital career, over the last few months, I’ve been duped by online misinformation more times than I’d like – from false claims about politics designed to outrage to fake images of Taylor Swift generated by artificial intelligence.

Single document news summarization has seen substantial progress on faithfulness in recent years, driven by research on the evaluation of factual consistency, or hallucinations. We ask whether these advances carry over to other text summarization domains. We propose a new evaluation benchmark on topic-focused dialogue summarization, generated by LLMs of varying sizes.

AbstractBackground: While cystic fibrosis is caused by loss-of-function variants in the Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator (CFTR), other modifier genes have been shown to associate with disease severity. Co-expression of modifiers with CFTR in normal tissue indicates a cooperative relationship and suggests the potential for compensation in the presence of CFTR dysfunction.
