In the Microsoft scam, victims have reported receiving a phone call from Microsoft about their computer. The scammer may state the computer is infected, locked or has a security issue. For payment, the caller may ask for financial information for payment, or transactions with a gift card or green dot card.

    LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A judge ruled that the Sulphur High special education teacher accused of stabbing his stepson will remain in jail without bond until his next hearing. Patrick Greene, 37, of Opelousas, will remain in custody until at least July 3, when there will be another hearing. Greene’s charges were upgraded to include eight counts of attempted first-degree murder on June 4, in addition to his original charges.

Patrick Seth Greene, 37, of Opelousas, has been charged with eight counts of attempted first-degree murder in addition to his original charges, according to the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.

    LEONVILLE, La. (KPLC/Gray News) – A special education teacher at a Louisiana high school is accused of stabbing his 6-year-old stepson, who is a brain cancer survivor. The child is said to have suffered life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition. Patrick Greene, 37, was taken into custody around 6 a.m. Sunday after the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance call at a home in Leonville.
