Lodi's city manager is now on administrative leave pending a third party investigation into comments he made during a city council meeting last week. Wednesday, Lodi City Council held a special meeting to discuss concerns. At last weeks meeting, city manager Scott Carney made allegations of misuse of public funds and city credit cards to purchase personal items.

After a San Joaquin County deputy shot and killed a man believed to be armed on Monday, the shooting is now subject to a California Department of Justice investigation. The shooting happened Monday in the area of east Ardelle Avenue and south Walker Lane, just outside of Stockton city limits. Now, family and friends of the man killed want to know what happened. Family members identified the man as 41-year-old Gregory Fitzgerald, saying he is a father of four.

Food banks and school districts are losing more than a billion dollars nationwide, as part of the Trump administration's cuts to federal spending. One of the places impacted is the Stockton Food Bank. They have lost their federal food assistance funding. Those cuts are now impacting how the food bank will serve the community. Hundreds of cars line up every day in Stockton to get food, but now with federal cuts comes a lot of uncertainty.
