Enugu — The peace in Ekwenu Autonomous Community in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State is being threatened over the alleged imposition of a traditional ruler on them against in violation of a subsisting Court Order. The community is alleging that the Commissioner for chieftaincy affairs and the local government chairman ignored a court order that no action on the issue of the traditional ruler of the community be taken until the matter in court is resolved. Enugu — The lingering insecurity in the South East region is not abating. The situation, especially in Anambra and Imo States, is getting out of hand, and giving the people serious concern. Residents of the region daily live in fear. Very recently, members of the crew of Super Sports going to cover the match between the Super Eagles and the Mediterranean Knights of Libya in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, were kidnapped in Isseke, a border town in Ihiala council area with Orlu, Imo State.

NDIGBO have continued to lament the lingering insecurity in the South- East region and tasked the governors in the zone to rise to their responsibilities by coming together to tackle the problem. The lingering insecurity in the region has destroyed many families and crippled the economy of the region. The people of the region think it is time for their governors to work as a team to salvage the region as their efforts are not helping.
